Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tyrion ("the Service"), operated at https://tyrion.codexin.lol. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. You should read it too.

Tyrion is an audiobook streaming service. You can browse the catalogue without an account. Listening, saving progress, building a library, and posting comments or ratings require an account.

The Service is provided free of charge. We do not currently sell subscriptions or process payments.

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account, including keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account.

You may not share an account, resell access, or create accounts to evade usage limits. You can close your account at any time from your profile.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to break the law, or to infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Upload or distribute malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its infrastructure, or any other account.
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the catalogue or audio files, or otherwise automate access beyond what the Service itself offers.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limits, access tokens, or other technical measures that protect the Service.
• Redistribute, resell, or publicly perform audiobook audio obtained through the Service.
• Post content that is unlawful, hateful, or that violates anyone else's rights.

Audiobook audio and cover images are made available through the Service for personal, non-commercial listening. The Service does not grant you any ownership of that content, and nothing here transfers any copyright in it.

Every title in the catalogue remains the property of its rights holders. Access is provided for personal use only. If you believe content is available in error, contact us and we will review it.

Tyrion is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any author, narrator, publisher, or rights holder whose work appears in the catalogue.

You keep ownership of comments and ratings you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the Service in connection with the book it relates to, including displaying your display name alongside it. You confirm you have the right to post it.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we are required to remove by law.

The Service relies on third-party providers for authentication, hosting, database storage, and file delivery. Their services are subject to their own terms, which we do not control. Your use of sign-in through Google or another external provider is also governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including changing the catalogue, features, or access limits. We will try to give notice before a material change that reduces functionality you rely on, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may add or remove titles from the catalogue at any time.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content will be available at all times.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us (which is currently nothing) or fifty US dollars.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operators of the Service against any claim arising from your misuse of the Service, your infringement of anyone's rights, or your breach of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. The effective date at the top reflects the current version. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
